linux命令之whois

昨天偶然试了一下 whois 命令, 觉得很有意思, 特搜集一番与大家共享

   WHOIS  域名查询工具
   WHOIS, 顾名思义, 就是问"他是谁?", 我们通过对域名的检索, 可以反馈回域名的注册信息, 包括持有人, 管理资料以及技术联络资料, 也包括该域名的域名服务器. 但是在世界上有几个主要的WHOIS服务器, 他们是 whois.RIPE.net whois.LACNIC.net whois.APNIC.net whois.ARIN.net 他们分别在各大洲. WHOIS 在查询时是逐级查询,
  比方当我们查询blogchina.com的时候通过亚洲的服务器whois.APNIC.net,它会返回新的WHOIS服务器的地址给我们:whois.melbourneit.com,而后,我们再通过 whois.melbourneit.com进行WHOIS的查询.如果还有新的WHOIS服务器的存在,继续往下查询,最终他会返回如下的信息

  WHOIS服务器一般打开43号端口进行监听,当用户有链接的时候,并且用户发送类似与blogchina.com的字符的时候,它会对blogchina.com进行检索,返回信息给用户.

  如果有时只知道IP地址, 而且这个IP地址没有DOMAIN NAME的话, 则先将IP地址分等级,
再向WHOIS服务器查询, (以下网址作为范例, 均为虚构, 如有雷同, 实属巧合)例如:
   
  若IP为:15.4.75.2
  这是一个A类地址, 则查询15.0即可.

  若IP为:141.111.32.53
  这是B类地址, 则查询两次, 第一次查询:141.111.0, 第二次再查询141.111.32

  若IP为203.66.35.1
  这是C类地址, 则查询三次, 第一次查询203.0, 第二次查询203.66.0, 第三次查询203.66.35.0

我记得好像rh9以后换成jwhois了，或者是fc以后，记不清了

确实, 在rh9中是jwhois,  但仍可用whois调出jwhois程序
