About change RH to Mandrake...

Now, i am using Red Hat 7.1 and I want to uninstall it and install Mandrake
8.1..but i want to keep files in some mount partition, like "/data",
"/usr/local/mysql/var"..... how can i do?

Try to do:
Move your important data to the mount partition which is different with your root filesystem. Then unmount this partition,and do not install new OS to this partition.
After installed new OS ,and a columns in your /etc/fstab.
