Don't need edit sqlnet.ora,listener.ora,tnsnames.ora ,I use it at default setting.
Setup again(including redhat system),check the rpm version carefully,and u'll be successfully.Good Luck!

Oracle文档说ORA-03113的错误不是Oracle本身的，要你检查你的网络设置，我第一次装9i时也出现过，后来我是改了那三个文件（从Windows下复制过来的）后就可以启动了！

yeah.I have seen the ORACLE ERROR MESSAGE too.At the beginning of the installation every time,there are always several error messages:thrown when the IP of the host not determined.I use dhcp on my eth,maybe this is the reason.What shall I do?

我在solaris8上安装过，碰到过这种问题，当时解决办法就是查看oracle提供的安装文档，修改操作系统的内存配置。比如semmls等，具体还是看看文档吧。(oracle网站上有）
